RunCam WiFiLink Rx is a video receiver with a mini HDMI output for digital image transmission of the OpenIPC or RubyFPV system.
OpenIPC and RubyFPV are open projects for digital FPV image transmission. They use IP cameras and Wi-Fi modules to build HD video transmission for RC models with relatively low latency. These projects are often used for experimental or development FPV systems, where full control over hardware and software is needed. RunCam WiFiLink Rx is a ready-made receiver with an HDMI output that greatly facilitates the use of OpenIPC or RubyFPV transmission.
The receiver is designed for use with FPV goggles or a monitor with HDMI input. It is equipped with four antennas connected via an RP-SMA connector. The receiver is powered by a coaxial DC connector with a voltage range of 9–30V. It features an OTG USB connector for external ethernet connectivity. Configuration is done using a joystick, similar to digital receivers in other FPV systems.
OpenIPC and RubyFPV are recommended for more technically skilled users. WiFi video transmissions are mainly suitable for FPV wings and drones with GPS stabilization. Due to higher latency, the transmission is not suitable for acrobatic freestyle or racing drones.
