C-20D is a vertical 2-axis FPV gimbal designed for the Walksnail Avatar digital system. Thanks to mechanical stabilization in two axes and powerful motors, the gimbal can effectively suppress vibrations and compensate for sudden movements of the RC model, ensuring smooth and stable video. The gimbal stabilizes the pitch and yaw axes. It is therefore particularly suitable for headtracking on RC aircraft, enabling side-to-side viewing as well as looking up and down. The C-20D can be powered by 7.4–26.4V (2–6S). The gimbal can be installed with the camera facing down or up as needed. Power consumption is minimal during normal operation and does not exceed 8W even under load.
The C-20D gimbal can be controlled via S.BUS, CRSF, PWM, or the MAVLink protocol, which is supported with ArduPilot and PX4 firmware. The gimbal can also be connected directly to a headtracker, which transfers the pilot's head movements directly to the gimbal. The gimbal offers six modes, including classic FPV mode, pitch stabilization, and ortho-view mode for a vertical downward view. The gimbal allows configuration of three preset modes that can be easily switched between. The sensitivity, which affects the response speed to drone/RC model movements, can also be adjusted.
The gimbal movement range is -30° to +175° on the pitch axis and ±145° on the yaw axis. Maximum rotation speed reaches up to 1500°/s.
A USB adapter, not included in the package, is required for PC setup.
