Walksnail Avatar HD Goggles X are top-tier FPV goggles designed for the digital video transmission Walksnail Avatar. Digital transmission Walksnail Avatar enables video transmission in up to full HD (1080p) quality with low latency of 22 ms and high refresh rate of 100 FPS and data throughput of up to 50 Mbps.
The image is displayed on two OLED displays with full HD 1080p resolution. Thanks to OLED technology, the image is vivid and contrasty. FOV 50° provides a large and immersive image. Image sharpness is handled by adjustable IPD 57-72 mm and diopter adjustment in the range of +2 to -6. Interchangeable lenses are also available. The goggles have a sensor that allows the displays to turn off if you are not wearing the goggles. Walksnail Avatar goggles have an integrated receiver for digital transmission. The receiver has 4 RP-SMA connectors with LHCP omnidirectional antennas. Digital video can be recorded to an SD card up to 256 GB. The Walksnail Avatar system supports the so-called Canvas mode, which allows classic full OSD to be rendered into the image, as in the analog video world. The goggles stand out for their connectivity. The received image can be easily displayed on a TV thanks to the HDMI output. The goggles also have an HDMI input and a jack for analog video input. The goggles are powered via a classic coaxial DC connector 5.5/2.1 mm with 7-26 V (2-6S).
The goggles include a bluetooth/wifi module for connecting to the Walksnail app. The goggles have an easily accessible and replaceable receiver module for HD video. Walksnail is thinking ahead, and if a new generation of the Walksnail Avatar system is released, it will be enough to replace the receiver module instead of the entire goggles. The front panel is also replaceable. It includes LEDs for a unique look. Also worth mentioning is the ranging mode, where the goggles estimate the drone's distance. You always know how far away you are, even without the need for a GPS module.
The goggles have an integrated cooler for better heat dissipation from the receiver module. The goggles also include an integrated head tracking module for use with gimbals.
