Sub250 DollyFly16 is a 1.6" whoop designed mainly for flying and shooting indoors. The drone is equipped with digital video transmission DJI O4 Pro, which allows recording high-quality video up to 4K resolution. The DJI O4 Pro camera is mounted in a holder connected to the frame via rubber dampers. These help minimize the amount of vibrations transferred to the camera for smooth video and easy stabilization. The camera tilt can be adjusted. The DJI O4 transmitter is accessible from the bottom and allows easy access to the USB connector and the microSD card. The drone is intended for calmer flights indoors or outdoors in calm weather.
Flight is provided by the AIO board TAKER F411, which combines the flight controller, ESCs and an integrated ELRS receiver at 2.4GHz. The flight controller is built on the STM32F411 processor and the ICM42688-P gyro. The 12A ESCs use Bluejay firmware. The propulsion is handled by Sub250 1103 14000Kv motors with four-blade Gemfan 1639 propellers; the frame is machined from 2mm thick carbon and supplemented with injection-molded plastic prop guards. The battery mount and antenna mounts are 3D-printed.
The drone weight without battery is approx. 88g; with 2S 450–550mAh batteries, the total weight is around 120g. Flight time is around 3 minutes depending on the battery and flying style.
DollyFly16 thus offers a small and lightweight cine-whoop with O4 Pro, tuned for smooth passes in small spaces, with the option of recording up to 4K/120 fps, adjustable camera tilt, and a practical design that accounts for replacing the most stressed parts.
Important notice: The DJI O4 camera uses a new generation of gyros, which are more sensitive to vibrations. This may affect the proper functioning of RockSteady and Gyroflow stabilization.
