SkyRC D8neo is a dual-channel charger with a total output of up to 1600W. Each channel provides up to 1100W (using both channels 2×800W) and a charging current of 0.1–32A. The charger does not have an integrated power supply and is powered from a DC input range of 9–49V via an XT90 connector from an external power source. For full power utilization, a supply voltage of at least 30V is recommended.
D8neo charges and discharges all common types of batteries: LiPo, LiHV, LiFe and Li-ion in the range of 1–8S, NiMH and NiCd up to 20S, and lead batteries 6/12/24V including AGM. For lithium packs, both channels are equipped with eight-channel balancers with a balancing current of up to 1.9A per cell. D8neo supports parallel charging, where both channels charge a single battery together with a current of 33–50A. There is also regenerative discharging — the battery connected to channel B discharges at a power of up to 1100W, and the extracted energy is directly transferred to the battery on channel A.
The charger supports wireless setup via Bluetooth 5.0 through the SkyCharger app. The charger can also operate as a stabilized digital lab power supply with an adjustable voltage of 5–36V and a current of 0.3–32A. The USB-C port serves as an output with PD 3.0 protocol up to 100W for powering phones, laptops, action cameras or soldering irons. All parameters are displayed on a backlit color 2.8" flip TN display (240×320 px) with ColorX interface; control is done with an aluminum rotary knob and four buttons.
Both channels are equipped with XT60 connectors and JST-XH ports for direct connection of balancing connectors 2–8S — when using batteries with XT60 and JST-XH connectors, no adapter or charging cable is required. The charger features protection against reverse polarity, short circuit, overvoltage, overheating, and battery overcharge. Cooling is provided by a dual fan with intelligent control.
