RunCam Helmet 4K is a camera designed to be mounted on a helmet for capturing POV footage. It is commonly used for airsoft, cycling, or FPV flying when you need to record from the pilot’s perspective. The camera is attached to a flexible arm that can be adjusted as needed to capture footage from the desired angle. The lens is protected by a Gorilla Glass cover. The camera body can be mounted using the included Velcro holder or an ARC rail mount.

The camera supports video recording in resolutions up to 4K at 30 frames per second. It features a Sony IMX415 sensor with a 138° field of view. It supports automatic exposure and ISO adjustment and offers both standard and loop recording modes. Videos are saved in MP4 format to a microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB. For reliable operation, a U3 speed class card is recommended. The camera connects via USB Type-C, which can also be used for data transfer to a computer.

Wireless control and live preview are provided by the integrated Wi-Fi connection. After pairing with the RunCam App (available for Android and iOS), users can adjust settings, view the live feed, or update the firmware. LED indicators show the current status — red indicates power or recording, blue indicates active Wi-Fi, and green indicates charging. When the battery is low, the camera vibrates and automatically shuts down. Power is supplied by a replaceable internal battery that charges via the USB-C port.
