RunCam Helmet Camera 2 is a camera suitable for helmet mounting and capturing POV footage. It can be used in cycling, airsoft, motorsport, or other activities where you need a rider's perspective recording. The lens is mounted on a flexible arm with a rotation range of up to 180°, allowing precise adjustment of the shooting angle without repositioning the entire camera. The camera body can be attached using the included Velcro mount or rail grip (Slide Rail Mount). The camera is resistant to water and dust.
The camera records in a resolution of 1920×1080 at 60 frames per second. It features a 2MP sensor with an aperture of F1.6 and a diagonal field of view of 127.7°. Video is saved in MP4 format on a microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB (U3 class recommended, minimum 64 GB). It supports three recording modes: standard, loop, and pre-record (flashback), which continuously retains a short video clip before the record button is pressed. Once turned on, the camera automatically starts recording approximately 8 seconds later. It can also be used as a webcam via USB-C.
Wireless control and live preview are facilitated by 5 GHz Wi-Fi paired with the RunCam App (Android and iOS), where you can adjust white balance, ISO, and other recording parameters. The camera status is indicated by LED lights — red signals power on or recording, blue indicates active Bluetooth connection, and green indicates charging. Power is supplied by a replaceable 18650 battery (3500 mAh) with an approximate runtime of 8 hours at 1080p 60fps; it charges via USB-C (max. 5 V / 2 A).
