Rotorama Solder Practice Board is a training board for practicing soldering. It features different types of solder pads and pads that correspond to connections used on flight controllers, ESCs, and other electronics for FPV drones. The layout of the solder pads is based on typical situations encountered when building a drone. The board has a standard mounting hole pattern of 30.5 × 30.5 mm M3, allowing practice soldering directly in the drone stack.
Due to various pad sizes, the board is suitable for both beginners learning basic soldering skills and more experienced drone builders wanting to practice finer soldering before working on actual electronics. It also includes larger solder pads for practicing soldering thicker wires, such as power cables for batteries or motors.
Solder Practice Board is ideal as a tool for initial drone builds, servicing electronics, and as training before soldering more expensive components. Using a training board helps reduce the risk of damaging actual flight controllers or regulators while learning to solder.
On the edges of the board, there are copper burrs from milling in the vias. These can be easily removed by hand and are not a defect of the product.
