Rotorama OctoPDB is a power distribution board designed for high-performance drones with 4, 6, or 8 motors. It distributes power from the battery to the individual ESCs. The board is primarily suitable for 15" and larger drones where 4-in-1 ESCs are not powerful enough. The board offers a total of 10 main outputs, including 8 for ESCs and 2 for additional high-current accessories, like a strong BEC or powering a payload. For ESC outputs, there are pads for connecting signal and telemetry wires from the ESC. For comfortable connection to the flight controller with a standard 8-pin cable, the pads are available in the center of the board. On the bottom of the board, there are two additional voltage outputs suitable for connecting devices with a current draw of up to 2A. Along the sides are main pads for battery input. The PDB can be used with one or two batteries in a parallel configuration.
The PDB board is an 8-layer PCB with 2 OZ copper, ensuring low resistance, even current distribution, and better thermal stability. This makes the board suitable for currents up to 200A per channel and up to 500A total. The board contains no electronics and is therefore suitable for use with 6S, 12S or even 14S batteries. The board features larger mounting holes of 36x36mm sized M4. It is designed for use with internal soft mounts (not included) and M3 screws. The external dimensions of the board are 80x80mm. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure there is enough space in the drone frame.
