NewBeeDrone Hummingbird 200 ESC RaceSpec 80A 6S AM32

NewBeeDrone Hummingbird 200 ESC RaceSpec 80A 3-6S AM32 is a compact 4-in-1 ESC with 20x20 mm mounting pattern, suitable for racing 5" FPV drones. The ESC supports 3-6S LiPo batteries. It was developed in collaboration with racing pilot Kyle Buell (Twidgit) and addresses common racer issues: MOSFET overheating, torn solder pads after crashes, and oversized ESCs that do not fit racing frames.

The ESC is built on a 6-layer PCB with 3 oz copper, blind vias and a gold-plated finish, which helps dissipate heat and increases the board's mechanical durability. A pair of integrated TVS diodes protects the electronics against voltage spikes without the need for external components. The board comes with a protective nano coating applied at the factory.

A notable feature is the 3D motor pad design — each pad wraps around the top, bottom, and side of the board. The wire is inserted into a semicircular cutout and soldered from both the top and bottom, making the connection significantly stronger and preventing the pad from tearing off even in a hard crash or with a broken arm. The BAT+ and BAT- power pads are reinforced for high currents. A 1000 µF electrolytic capacitor is included and recommended to be soldered to the power leads.

The ESC is based on an AT32F421 processor with an integrated MOSFET driver. It uses open-source AM32 firmware with adjustable output PWM frequency and features a current sensor. It connects to the flight controller via an 8-pin JST-SH 1.0 connector.
