MicoAir MTF-01 is an external optical flow sensor with a built-in laser rangefinder. It is compatible with iNav, ArduPilot, and PX4 firmware. The sensor connects via UART using the Micolink (DIY), Mavlink (ArduPilot, PX4), or MSP (iNav) protocols. It can also be connected to a PC using a USB converter and configured via the MicoAssistant application. The protocol can be changed via the app.

The optical flow sensor measures ground-relative velocity using a downward-facing camera. The camera has a 42° field of view (FOV), and requires at least 60 Lux of light for proper function. Optical flow starts measuring from a height of 8 cm. The maximum measurable speed is 7 m/s at one meter of altitude. The optical flow sensor enables advanced stabilization even without a GPS module, making it ideal for indoor environments. The integrated laser rangefinder measures distances between 2 cm and 8 m. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Configuration is recommended for experienced users.
