KST X12-508 V8.0 is a fast HV micro servo with metal gears. Thanks to its slim body, it fits into narrow glider fuselages in the F3J, F3F and F3B categories as an elevator and rudder servo. It can also be used as a cyclic servo in 380-450 size helicopters.
It is powered by a coreless motor. The hardened steel gears are backlash-free and the servo returns precisely to centre. The aluminium alloy case dissipates heat well. The servo weighs 20g. It operates within a 6-8.4V range, making it suitable for 2S LiPo power. At 8.4V, it delivers 6.2kg-cm of torque and a speed of 0.07s/60°.
The default travel is 100° (±50° with a 1000-2000uS signal). The KST Tool #5 programming card (sold separately) allows adjustment of the centre, endpoints, rotation direction and smooth start-up (“soft start”).
