KST X10 Mini V8.0 is a smaller and lighter version of the KST X10 wing servo. The thickness remains 10 mm, but the servo is shorter and weighs 23 g. At the cost of slightly lower torque, it fits into the wing more easily. The servo is suitable for gliders in the F3J, F3B and F3F categories.
It is powered by a coreless motor. Hardened steel gears are complemented by two ball bearings. The machined (CNC) aluminium alloy case dissipates heat well. This is an HV servo with a supply voltage range of 4.8-8.4 V, from 4S NiMH to 2S LiPo. At 8.4 V, it delivers 7.5 kg-cm of torque and a speed of 0.10 s/60°. The dead band is only 2 µs, so the servo responds even to minor signal changes.
The default travel is 100° (±50° at a 1000-2000 µs signal). The KST Tool #5 programming card (sold separately) allows adjustment of the centre, endpoints, rotation direction and smooth start (“soft start”). The servo cable is 16 cm long. Optional mounting frames are available for the servo (sold separately).
