KST DS315MG V8.0 is a very fast mini servo with metal gears, suitable as a cyclic servo for flybarless helicopters in the 450-480 class. It offers high speed with good torque.
It is powered by a 12mm coreless motor. The hardened steel gears are supported by two ball bearings. The machined (CNC) aluminum alloy case dissipates heat effectively. The servo weighs 20g. It operates on 4.8-8.4V, from 4S NiMH to 2S LiPo. At 8.4V, it delivers 4.8kg-cm of torque and a speed of 0.07s/60°.
The default travel is 140° (±70° at a 800-2200uS signal); in the standard 1000-2000uS range, it is ±50°. The KST Tool #5 programming card (sold separately) allows adjustment of the center position, endpoints, rotation direction, and smooth startup (“soft start”).
