iFlight Mach R5 Ultra Trainer - 6S ELRS

iFlight Mach R5 Ultra Trainer 6S is a lightweight 5" racing drone with analog video transmission, suitable for training on race tracks and fast flying in open areas. It weighs 285 g without a battery. This makes it well suited for pilots preparing for races who need a machine with sharp response and high performance.

The frame with a diagonal motor-to-motor distance of 190 mm has a compact X geometry. It is made of T700 carbon with 5 mm arms and 2 mm plates. The center plate is machined from 7075 aluminum alloy with weight-saving cutouts. According to the manufacturer, it is up to 15% lighter than a conventional carbon plate while effectively damping vibrations. Frame parts are aligned by CNC guide pins, which eliminate play in the structure and thus reduce resonance and vibration at high speeds. The arm roots are reinforced for improved impact resistance. LED strips connect directly to the flight controller via 4-pin connectors. LED strips are not included.

The heart of the drone is the iFlight Borg Mini H7 stack. The flight controller uses an STM32H743 processor, ICM42688-P gyro, and 32 MB blackbox memory. Two independent voltage regulators (BEC), 12 V 2 A and 5 V 2.5 A, provide stable power for peripherals. The 12 V output for the video transmitter can be switched on and off using a switch on the radio transmitter, which is useful while waiting for a race start. LED strip outputs feature short-circuit protection, so an LED short circuit does not affect flight controller operation. The drone is equipped with an ELRS receiver operating at 2.4 GHz, integrated directly into the flight controller, with 100 mW telemetry power. 

The Borg 60RS 4-in-1 ESC supports a continuous current of 60 A, runs BLHeli_32 firmware, and supports bidirectional DShot and telemetry. Polymer capacitors are integrated on the board, so no external capacitor is required. Propulsion is provided by iFlight R5 2207 2100 Kv motors combined with iFlight Nazgul R5 V2 tri-blade propellers.

Video is transmitted by the iFlight Borg Race 5.8 GHz video transmitter with adjustable 25/100/200 mW output power and PIT mode. PIT is a minimum-power mode for setting up the drone in the pits without interfering with other pilots. Do not power on the video transmitter without an antenna connected.

Recommended batteries are 6S with a capacity of 1200–1500 mAh. Batteries are not included.

The drone is supplied in BNF version, so an ELRS 2.4 GHz radio transmitter, analog FPV goggles, batteries, and a charger must be purchased separately.
