iFlight Chimera7 Pro V2 DJI O4 Pro is a top-tier drone for long-range flying or carrying heavier HD cameras. Chimera7 Pro V2 is designed for 7.5" propellers powered by XING2 2809 motors. This gives it higher thrust than standard 7" quads and allows it to carry a larger and heavier battery or camera. The frame is long enough, so the top plate comfortably fits both the camera and a longer battery.
The quad is equipped with plastic side panels, which protect the sensitive electronics from dirt while still allowing airflow for cooling. The side panels also feature LED diodes for a unique look. The XT60 connector is firmly mounted in a 3D-printed part at the rear of the quad. The battery wires cannot get caught where they shouldn't and won't be cut by the propellers. The quad also includes an anti-spark filter. A small component that eliminates sparking in the connector when the battery is plugged in. This reduces connector wear and extends its lifespan.
The heart of the quad is the iFlight Blitz F722 flight controller combined with the iFlight Blitz E55 ESC. Power is provided by the mentioned XING2 2809 1250Kv motors and HQ 7.5" propellers. The drone comes with GPS installed as standard. In the goggles, you can see information such as speed, distance from the takeoff point, total distance, and direction to the takeoff point. Betaflight also supports return-to-home in case of signal loss or by command from the transmitter.
Video transmission is handled by the DJI O4 Pro system, which is absolutely top-notch in FPV. The DJI O4 Pro camera is mounted in silicone inserts, which dampen vibrations and help deliver a clean video. The frame is in a deadcat design, so the image from the DJI O4 Pro unit does not show disturbing propeller edges.
The quad is supplied without a receiver; choose one according to your transmitter. It can be paired with DJI Controller 3.
Recommended batteries are 6S LiPo with a capacity of 2000-4500mAh or Liion 21700 6S1P-6S2P packs.
Important notice: The DJI O4 camera uses a new generation of gyroscopes that are more sensitive to vibrations. This may affect the proper functioning of RockSteady and Gyroflow stabilization.
