HGLRC Omni 5.8GHz - 250mm RHCP/LHCP u.FL

HGLRC Omni 250mm u.FL is an omnidirectional antenna with circular polarization RHCP or LHCP (depending on the variant), a u.FL connector, and gain of up to 4.5dBi for the 4.9-6.2GHz band. With a total length of 250mm, it is suitable for the transmitting side of freestyle and long-range drones, where the radiating element needs to be positioned as high above the frame as possible.

RHCP polarization is suitable for analog video transmission or HDZero. LHCP polarization is used with DJI and Walksnail digital systems. The wide frequency range covers not only the standard 5.8GHz band but also lower and higher channels used by transmitters with an extended band.

The antenna has a rigid section (“leg”) measuring 150mm, which is secured in a 3D-printed mount on the drone frame. Its length positions the radiating element above the battery and other drone components, preventing them from blocking the signal. The rest consists of a thin RF1.37 coaxial cable terminated with a u.FL connector, allowing the antenna to connect directly to the video transmitter without adapters, saving both weight and space. The entire antenna weighs only 4.4g. A voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of up to 1.8 means that most transmitter power reaches the antenna, with only a small portion reflected back.
