Happymodel Super F405HD is a board with regulators, flight controller, and receiver all in one. The core of the board is a ICM42688P gyro that supports a refresh rate of up to 8KHz and a F405 processor. The board supports power from 3-4S Lipo batteries and current up to 20A. The regulators use Bluejay firmware. It is particularly suitable for building lightweight 2-3" copters. The board includes a BMP280 barometer for altitude measurement, 8MB memory for blackbox, and a current sensor. There is also an integrated connector for digital video transmission.
A major advantage of the board is the integrated ELRS receiver connected via UART. Traditional integrated receivers are connected via SPI bus and their firmware is part of Betaflight. The UART receiver is a fully functional classic Happymodel EP1 receiver that can be updated or configured separately via Wifi. The ELRS receiver is connected to UART2. By breaking the pins, the ELRS receiver can be disconnected and the UART can be used for connecting another device. The antenna is connected to the ELRS receiver via an IPEX connector.
