Gens Ace iCheck B36 Smart RC Tester and Balancer 1-8S

Gens ace iCheck B36 is a multifunctional smart battery tester for RC models and drones. After connecting the battery with an XT60 connector and a balance connector, it displays the total voltage, individual cell voltages, and their differences on a 2.4" IPS display. It supports LiPo, LiHV, Li-ion and LiFe batteries with 1-8 cells and triggers an audible alarm when the voltage drops below the set value.

In addition to measurement, it also handles active cell balancing at 100mA per cell with accuracy below 0.01V — it can therefore equalize differences between cells even without a charger. Balance discharging with output up to 2W helps reduce the voltage of an overcharged battery.

It also works as a power bank from the connected battery. The USB-C output supports PD 3.0/PPS fast charging up to 30W, the USB-A output supports QC 2.0/3.0 protocols up to 22.5W, and the maximum current is 3A. In the field, it can charge a phone, FPV goggles or a camera from a LiPo battery.

For the workshop, the tester offers additional tools: PWM measurement, manual and automatic servo test, and PPM output via the receiver connection port. The G-Tech balance port ("G-Tech" is Gens ace communication technology between the battery and charger) also allows reading and adjusting parameters of smart G-Tech batteries. Firmware is updated via the USB-C port.

We recommend not leaving the tester connected to the battery for long periods — it draws a small current even when idle and would gradually discharge the battery.
