Flywoo Firefly16 1S Nano Baby V3 O4 Wide is an ultralight 1.6" toothpick for 1S batteries with digital video transmission via the DJI O4 Wide Air Unit, suitable for flying indoors, for passes through tight gaps, and for relaxed flying in the garden or park. The Wide designation means the camera has a native lens with a 159° field of view instead of the narrow 117.6° on the standard DJI O4 - so this is not an add-on lens, but a factory wide-angle version of the unit directly from DJI. Thanks to its weight of approximately 39g and the included prop guards, flying it is relatively safe even near people.
It differs from its bigger sibling, the Firefly18, in its propulsion: it uses smaller 40mm tri-blade props and higher-RPM motors, which gives a more direct and sharper response and better control in small spaces.
The foundation is the Firefly16 1S Nano Baby V3 frame with a 2mm carbon plate, a weight of 7.9g, and a motor diagonal of 88.5mm. The camera is housed in Flywoo's own 18mm case, which covers the otherwise exposed back side of the camera board and secures the coaxial cable - this is usually the most common point of damage in a crash on the O4 Wide. The video unit and camera are covered by a TPU canopy, which also dampens vibrations. The battery holder is replaceable, and the package includes three sizes for 450, 750 and 1000mAh packs. The motors are connected via connectors, so replacement does not require soldering.
Flight control is handled by the GOKU F405 HD 1S 5A ELRS AIO V2.0 AIO board weighing just 2.6g, which integrates the flight controller, ESCs, ELRS receiver, and a BEC for powering the video unit in a cross-shaped layout. It is built on the STM32F405 processor with a BMI270 gyro, SPL06 barometer for altitude measurement, and 8MB memory for Blackbox. The ESCs handle up to 5A and use Bluejay firmware. The integrated Flywoo 1S O4 5V BEC delivers up to 3A and keeps the DJI unit powered even when cell voltage drops to 2.6V, which is crucial for 1S drones with O4. Propulsion is provided by ROBO 1002 23500Kv motors with dual bearings for lower noise and vibration, combined with HQ 40mmx3 tri-blade props.
Video transmission is handled by the DJI O4 Wide Air Unit with a 1/2" CMOS sensor. It allows recording up to 4K/60fps to 23GB of built-in storage, so there is no need to carry an external HD camera; the unit does not support microSD cards. The FPV image runs at 1080p at 100fps with a bitrate of up to 60Mbps. For racing pilots, Racemode is available with latency from 20ms; the transmission supports Canvas mode for classic OSD from the flight controller. Image stabilization is possible using DJI RockSteady or Gyroflow.
The unit is intended for use with DJI Goggles 3 or DJI Goggles N3 and DJI Controller 3. It can also be used with DJI Goggles 2 or DJI Integra and DJI Controller 2. In that case, however, Racemode is not available and the maximum bitrate is limited to 50Mbps.
Recommended batteries are 1S with a capacity of 450-1000mAh and an A30 connector. Batteries are not included.
Important notice: The DJI O4 camera uses a new generation of gyroscopes that are more sensitive to vibrations. This may affect the proper functioning of RockSteady and Gyroflow stabilization.
