FlyingRC PDB 12S is a power distribution board suitable for use with separate ESCs, typically used on larger long-range drones or cinelifters. It supports 4-12S LiPo batteries and can handle a continuous current of 4x 80A per channel.
The board has pads ready for 4 ESCs, and each also has a pad for the signal and telemetry wire. It is based on a six-layer PCB with 2 oz copper on the inner and outer layers, 2 mm thickness and immersion gold finish; large exposed copper areas help dissipate heat from the current paths. The board features an integrated current sensor and, together with a 1k:20k resistor divider, provides the flight controller with current draw and battery voltage data. In the configurator, 7.5 mV/A is set for current and 1/21 V for voltage. Connection to the flight controller is handled by an 8-pin SH1.0 connector; solder pads are available as an alternative.
Power for additional electronics is provided by two BECs — 5V/5A and 12V/4A — whose operation is indicated by two red LEDs. The solder pad marked "V" allows you to choose by resoldering whether 12V or the battery voltage itself is fed to the output. For proper BEC operation, the input voltage must be higher than the output voltage. The board dimensions are 55 x 50 x 6 mm, weight 21.5 g, and standard mounting spacing is 30.5 x 30.5 mm with 3 mm diameter holes.
