FlyingRC Fixed-Wing Stack F4WSE Pro + 40A Dual ESC is a combination of a flight controller and dual-motor ESC designed for airplanes and flying wings powered by 2-6S LiPo batteries. The set consists of a flight controller, an expansion board for power and signal distribution, an AM32 Dual 40A ESC, and external USB-C modules and a microSD card slot. The board supports ArduPilot, INAV and Betaflight firmware, with ArduPlane preinstalled from the factory. The pin layout matches the Matek F405-TE board, making it possible to reuse established wiring schemes and firmware in most builds.

The flight controller is based on the STM32F405RGT6 processor at 168MHz combined with a BMI270 gyroscope and SPA06-001 barometer for altitude measurement. The board does not have a built-in compass, so an external module is required for navigation modes. For analog video transmission, the board includes an OSD chip displaying telemetry data directly in the video and two switchable camera inputs, between which you can switch in flight via a transmitter channel. Blackbox logs are stored on an external microSD card module with support for cards up to 32GB — the module connects via cable and can be mounted outside the unit.

For peripheral connection, there are 6 UARTs, 12 PWM outputs for servos and motors, and one I2C bus. Six PWM channels are brought out to pin headers, two to solder pads, and four to a connector. The SBUS inverter is integrated on the board and internally connected to the UART2 RX pin. The receiver, GPS module, digital video transmitter and ESC connect via SH1.0 connectors without soldering, while the remaining pins are available on the pin headers and solder pads of the expansion board. An addressable WS2812 LED strip can be connected to pad S12.

The power section offers two BEC rails — 5V/5A for servos and 5V/3A for other electronics, i.e. the receiver, GPS and video transmitter. For a board of this size, that is above-average capacity, and smaller aircraft do not need an external converter. The onboard current sensor measures up to 80A continuously. An external airspeed sensor can be connected via I2C (supported types are MS4525 and DLVLR-L10D), which improves airspeed calculation on fixed-wing aircraft; it is not included in the package.

The AM32 Dual 40A ESC controls two motors and can handle 40A continuously per channel. Each channel has its own QF32F4AK8U7 processor, while the power stage consists of twelve HYG022N04LS1C1 transistors with an on-state resistance of just 2,0 mΩ. The board is six-layer with a total copper thickness of 12 oz, with resin-filled vias and gold-plated areas. The included electrolytic capacitors are soldered to the board. The ESC has no BEC — the servos and receiver are powered by the flight controller's BEC.

The ESC comes preloaded with AM32 firmware, which supports DShot150/300/600, OneShot and standard PWM protocols. Sinusoidal startup and rotor lock protection can also be enabled, increasing thrust at low RPM; the manufacturer recommends this for motors with KV below 500. Settings are configured using the AM32 offline configurator via the flight controller.

The flight controller is connected to the expansion board using the included M2 standoffs, and it is linked to the ESC by a single 8-pin SH1.0 cable, which carries the signal for both motors as well as battery voltage measurement.

Important notice: The ESC firmware is flashed exclusively with the AM32 offline configurator.
