FlyingRC F4D MK1 F405

FlyingRC F405 is an affordable flight controller suitable for 2-6" drones powered by 3-6S LiPo batteries. The FC is equipped with connectors for connecting all peripherals; solder pads are not available.

The flight controller is based on the STM32F405RGT6 processor clocked at 168 MHz with 1 MB Flash memory and 192 KB RAM, combined with the ICM-42688-P gyroscope. Altitude measurement is handled by the DPS310 barometer. Analog video is processed by the AT7465E OSD chip, and a 6-pin connector is ready for digital video transmitters. 16MB of flash memory is used for Blackbox. There are 6 UARTs available, with only the RX pin brought out on UART3. Also available is an I2C bus for connecting a compass and 5 PWM outputs - four for motors and one for a WS2812 LED strip.

Peripheral power is provided by a pair of MP9943 converters - a BEC 5V/3A and a BEC 9V/2A for the video transmitter and camera. The 9V rail can be switched on and off via PINIO1 (User1 in Betaflight), so the video transmitter does not overheat while configuring it on the bench.

The board supports Betaflight, iNav and ArduPilot firmware and comes with Betaflight preinstalled. The target used for Betaflight, iNav and ArduPilot is Matek F405-TE.

The flight controller has mounting pattern 30,5x30,5 mm M4 (M3 with softmount) and 20x20 mm M4 (M3 with softmount). The board is connected to the ESC with an 8-pin SH1.0 cable.
