Emax OpenIPC Wyvern Link Alpha 200mW

EMAX OpenIPC Wyvern Link Alpha 200mW is a combination of camera and video transmitter for digital image transmission in the OpenIPC or RubyFPV systems.

OpenIPC is an open project for digital FPV image transmission. It utilizes IP cameras and Wi-Fi modules to create HD video transmission for RC models with relatively low latency. This project is often used for experimental or development FPV systems, where full control over hardware and software is needed. The Wyvern Link Alpha is a pre-built and configured unit that significantly simplifies the deployment of OpenIPC transmission. The designation Alpha indicates that this is an early edition.

For easy installation in the frame, the camera has a standard size of Nano (14mm). The camera uses the IMX415 sensor, which supports resolutions of 1080P at 90 FPS or 720P at 120 FPS. The camera is connected to the transmitting unit via a MIPI cable, which allows a maximum transmission power of 200mW. The transmitter has a mounting hole pitch of 25.5 × 25.5 mm for installation in smaller drones and Cinewhoops. The unit uses two antennas connected via a u.FL connector. Configuration of the VTX and camera is possible via an Ethernet port or USB-C directly from a computer.

We recommend OpenIPC for technically proficient users. WiFi video transmissions are mainly suitable for FPV wings and GPS stabilized drones. For higher latency, the transmission is not suitable for freestyle or racing drones.
