Emax Aeris Link Dual ExpressLRS TX 1000mW is a dual-band ELRS transmitter module for a standard JR bay, suitable for radios running EdgeTX or OpenTX firmware with CRSF output. It transmits in the 2.4GHz and 868/915MHz bands with output power up to 1000mW, allowing a single module to be used for racing and freestyle quads as well as long-range models.
The module's main advantage is Gemini mode — both antennas transmit simultaneously, making the link more resistant to interference and dropouts. The operating mode is selected in the LUA script (RF Band item): 2.4GHz Gemini (both antennas at 2.4GHz, packet rate up to 500Hz) for racing and freestyle, 915MHz Gemini (both antennas in the sub-1GHz band, up to 250Hz) for long-range, and X-Band, where one antenna transmits at 2.4GHz and the other at 868/915MHz (up to 150Hz). X-Band combines the low latency of the 2.4GHz band with the range and penetration of the lower band; it requires a dual-band receiver with an LR1121 chip. Output power is adjustable in 10/25/50/100/250/500/1000mW steps, with 50mW set by default.
The electronics are housed in an aluminium case that serves as a heatsink; cooling is supplemented by air intake and exhaust vents, which must not be covered. The main ESP32-PICO-D4 processor is complemented by a second ESP32-C3 processor for ELRS Backpack — an add-on through which the module communicates with other devices, such as FPV goggles. The module supports Wi-Fi for firmware updates and web configuration, as well as Bluetooth, allowing the radio to connect wirelessly to a simulator in BLE Joystick mode. Module status is indicated by two RGB LEDs — when a link is established, they remain solid and their colour corresponds to the selected packet rate. Firmware is updated via USB-C, and the module is secured in the bay by a quick-release latch.
The module can be powered from the radio bay, but at higher output levels we recommend connecting an external battery via the XT30 connector (5-26V, 2-6S) — otherwise, the radio may not provide sufficient current. Antennas connect via SMA connectors; the package includes two dual-band T-antennas for 2.4GHz and 868/915MHz.
Important warning: Do not power on the module without connected antennas — this may damage the power amplifier. Do not exceed the maximum input voltage of 26V.
In the EU, the sub-1GHz band is permitted only with the EU868 regulatory domain; the 915MHz (FCC) band is not permitted.
