DarwinFPV BabyApe Pro V3 is an affordable 3" freestyle drone suitable for flying in the backyard, park, or open field. The Pro V3 version features a solid Caddx ANT camera and reinforced 3mm arms (the original version had only 2.5mm). The drone comes pre-installed with LED lights on the arms.
The BabyApe Pro V3 is powered by a DarwinFPV AIO board that includes a flight controller with an F411 processor and MPU6500 gyro, along with 15A ESCs running BlHeli_S firmware. The RC receiver is an external ELRS 2.4GHz DarwinFPV Cement receiver, which is protected against water and dirt. The motors are 1104 4300Kv with a 1.5mm shaft. The propellers are press-fit and not secured with screws. It uses Gemfan 3016-3 props. Version 3 includes a video transmitter with a maximum power of up to 1200mW.
Recommended battery: 3S 450–550mAh.
After unpacking, make sure to secure the receiver antenna. The drone comes with a standard linear FPV antenna, which is sufficient for short-range flying. For longer range, we recommend replacing it with a circularly polarized antenna.
