Ceys Montack Tape 2.5 m x 19 mm

Ceys Montack Tape 2.5 m x 19 mm is a double-sided mounting tape for securing items without drilling or screwing. It holds immediately after pressing, so the bond does not need to be fixed or left to cure. It bonds porous and non-porous materials on smooth and slightly rough surfaces — wood, metal, glass, plastic, concrete, stone, marble, tiles, cork and mirrors. It is not suitable for polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and PTFE, nor for very rough, dusty, crumbling or non-stick surfaces and damaged coatings.

The tape uses a polyester reinforcing mesh, which gives it dimensional stability and the ability to withstand long-term loads. The adhesive layer with a thickness of 0.73 mm levels small surface irregularities, which is useful for carbon and 3D-printed parts. Tensile strength reaches 80 N/25 mm, peel resistance on steel exceeds 60 N/25 mm, and the manufacturer states a maximum load capacity of 300kg per roll on a flat surface with low thickness. Temperature resistance of -10°C to +75°C, together with resistance to moisture and weathering, also allows outdoor use.

In FPV, the tape is useful wherever something needs to be mounted securely without drilling: video receivers and monitors on a stand or in a pit box, LED strips and markings on transport cases, antenna mounts, GoPro adapters and power banks at charging stations, fixing cable channels and chargers in the workshop or in the car. We recommend using it on static parts outside the airframe — on flying parts exposed to vibration and impacts, mechanical fastening or hook-and-loop tape is more suitable. Carbon, aluminum, glass and hard plastics such as ABS or PC hold very well; with prints from nylon (PA) and TPU, adhesion is significantly worse due to the material’s low surface energy, and we recommend testing the bond in advance.

The bonded surfaces should be cleaned with alcohol and dried; application temperature is +15°C to +30°C. Apply the tape to the part without touching the adhesive layer with your fingers, cut it to size, press firmly, remove the protective film and press the joint strongly. On vertical parts, we recommend placing several strips of tape across the entire surface and not loading the joint beyond 6kg. On painted surfaces, we recommend first verifying bond quality in an inconspicuous place. The tape can be removed from the joint mechanically by peeling it off. Unopened packaging retains its properties for 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in a cool, dry place.
