BetaFPV Pavo20 Pro II O4 Pro - 4S ELRS

BetaFPV Pavo20 Pro II O4 Pro is a 2.2" cinewhoop for 4S batteries with the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro digital video transmission system, suitable for cinematic indoor flying and agile outdoor freestyle. Thanks to the ducted propellers and a weight of 116.2 g without the battery, it is relatively safe to fly near people, and with the recommended battery, the takeoff weight remains well below 250 g.

The Pavo20 Pro II frame has a 93.9 mm diagonal motor-to-motor distance and reinforced PA12 propeller ducts that withstand crashes well. The entire construction is held together by only four screws with press-fit nuts, while three alignment mounting points ensure precise positioning of the carbon plate, making assembly and potential repairs quick while delivering a rigid, play-free result. The battery bay is 29 mm wide with unlimited height, accommodating taller 4S packs as well. The board features a buzzer for easy recovery of the drone after a crash in tall grass.

The video unit is mounted in an O4 Air Unit Pro Bracket on rubber dampers that minimize vibration transfer for smooth video and easy Gyroflow stabilization. A pair of mounting holes shifts the camera's pivot point, allowing the camera angle to be adjusted from 0–40° while retaining access to the ND filter. The antenna mounts are angled at 30° for improved radiation. The drone also includes a NightFire RGB LED strip measuring 500 mm, with 10 lighting effects and 7 colors switched by a button, helping with orientation at dusk and drone recovery.

Flight control is handled by the Cube 3IN1 2–4S 30A AIO board, which integrates the flight controller, ESCs, and ELRS receiver on a single board. It is built around an STM32G473 processor at 168 MHz, with an ICM42605 gyro sampled at 8 kHz, a barometer for altitude measurement, and 16 MB of blackbox memory. The board measures voltage and current. The ESCs handle 30 A continuous and run Bluejay firmware with DShot150/300/600 support and RPM filtering. Peripheral power is provided by two separate BECs: 9 V/2 A for the DJI unit and 5 V/3 A for other peripherals. Propulsion is provided by LAVA 1104 5500 Kv motors paired with Gemfan D2.2 tri-blade propellers.

The drone is equipped with an integrated ELRS receiver operating at 2.4 GHz. ExpressLRS is an advanced open-source RC system with long range, low latency, and a high update rate. Two free serial ports remain available on the board for adding a GPS module, and the package includes two mounts with 22 x 22 mm and 14 x 17 mm hole patterns, covering most 12 x and 18 x size modules. The GPS module itself is not included.

Digital video transmission is handled by the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro with a 1/1.3" CMOS sensor, a lens with a 155° field of view, and an f/2.8 aperture. It enables recording at up to 4K/120 fps with a bitrate of up to 130 Mbps in the 10-bit D-Log M profile for later color correction, eliminating the need to carry an external HD camera. It records to 4 GB of internal memory or a microSD card up to 512 GB. Video is transmitted to the goggles in 1080p/100 fps. In Racemode, latency drops as low as 15 ms. The transmission supports Canvas mode for traditional OSD from the flight controller. Image stabilization is available immediately with DJI RockSteady or later with Gyroflow.

The video unit is designed for use with DJI Goggles 3 or DJI Goggles N3 and DJI Controller 3. The unit can also be used with DJI Goggles 2 or DJI Integra and DJI Controller 2. However, Racemode is not available in this case, and the maximum bitrate is limited to 50 Mbps.

Recommended batteries are 4S packs with a capacity of 580–680 mAh and an XT30 connector. Batteries are not included.

Important notice: The DJI O4 camera uses a new generation of gyroscopes that are more sensitive to vibrations. This may affect the proper operation of RockSteady and Gyroflow stabilization.
