Axisflying Manta5 SE V2 is a 5" freestyle drone with a good price/performance ratio and DJI O4 Wide video transmission. The drone is in a Squeshed X configuration, where the flight characteristics are close to a classic X frame and the arms provide better camera protection in a front impact than a Deadcat frame. The drone includes a 3D printed mount for securing a GoPro camera and a GPS module hidden under the GoPro mount. GPS enables automatic return to the takeoff point and displays speed, distance and direction to the takeoff point in the FPV image. The second version of the drone is equipped with plastic side panels that protect the electronics from dirt. For greater durability, the arms are milled from 5,5 mm thick carbon. The FPV camera is mounted in aluminum side plates using rubber inserts that minimize vibration transfer.
The propulsion is provided by AE2207 V2 1960KV motors and 60A ESCs with 32-bit firmware. The flight controller uses an H743 processor and dual ICM42688P gyro. It also features 16 MB of blackbox memory and an integrated barometer for altitude measurement. Video transmission is handled by the digital DJI O4 Wide unit. The drone is equipped with an ELRS receiver on the 2.4 GHz frequency.
Recommended batteries are 6S with a capacity of 1050–1550mAh.
Important notice: The DJI O4 camera uses a new generation of gyros that are more sensitive to vibrations. This may affect the proper functionality of RockSteady and Gyroflow stabilization.
