AOS 5R V1.1

AOS R5 V1.1 is a top-notch racing frame that will be appreciated by both beginners and the most demanding pilots. The frame features a unique stack mounting method - the so-called X-Cell mount. The part of the bottom plate on which the stack is mounted is connected to the rest of the frame only at 4 small sections located at the nodes of the standing waves. This results in less unwanted vibration being transmitted to the gyro of the flight controller. Thus, it is possible to use less aggressive filters and higher PID values, leading to improved flight characteristics. Additionally, to further minimize vibrations, the frame uses durable arms made of 6mm thick carbon.

AOS R5 is designed as a racing frame for building drones with analog and digital transmission (HDZero, Walksnail Avatar). The frame can accommodate propellers up to 5.3", stacks with a pitch of 20x20mm M3, and motors with holes of 16mm M3. The pitch of the rear posts is 20mm, making the frame compatible with a wide range of pre-made 3D prints for mounting cameras and antennas. The top plate features mounting holes with a pitch of 20x20mm and 25.5x25.5mm M2, facilitating the mounting of not only the digital video transmitter. A camera size nano (14mm) is mounted in a 3D printed holder. The frame utilizes a bottom and middle plate. The Lipo strap is threaded between the plates and does not rub against the regulators.

Upgrading to version 1.1 improves the geometry of the arm locks and adds a central part for reinforcing the arms and increasing the stiffness of the flight controller mounting.
