AB50 Dual Battery Parallel Board is a module for safe parallel connection of two batteries to a single load. Each of the two input channels has its own ideal diode, which allows current to flow only toward the load. This solution prevents current flow between batteries even in the case of different voltages. The connection is therefore safe and eliminates the risk of uncontrolled charging of one battery by the other.
The module automatically draws current from the battery with the higher voltage. It thus enables hot swap — replacing one battery while in operation without turning off the load. This is useful for filming drones, where the camera is often powered from the flight battery as well. It also includes reverse current protection.
The module supports input voltage up to 80V, 50A per channel and continuous output current of 100A. The maximum allowed voltage difference between batteries is 20V. The input is fitted with XT60PW-M connectors, the output with an XT60PW-F connector.
