The AlfaRC Grasshopper LR5 falls into the ultralight 5" category. This category is ideal for smooth flight without wild acrobatics. The ultralight 5" will offer a long flight time and low noise.
The Grasshopper LR5 has the front motors behind the camera level, so the edges of the propellers are not visible in the FPV image. The front camera mount is entirely 3D printed. This makes the frame versatile enough and can be modified to accommodate other cameras by easily printing a different front. The basic head is designed for Micro cameras (19-20mm) and has an integrated GoPro holder. The 3D printed accessories also include an antenna holder with LED and GPS. The frame has 4mm thick carbon arms for motors with 12mm mounting hole spacing. The other carbon parts are made of 1.5 mm thick plate. The frame is designed for stacks with 20x20mm M2 holes. There is enough space in the back of the frame for other electronics. Additional M2 holes with a spacing of 20x20mm are prepared for attaching an analog video transmitter or a Caddx Vista unit. Thanks to sufficient space, the frame can also accommodate a large Air Unit. When modifying the front part, the frame can also be used with the DJI O3 system.
