HDZero Camera Switcher is a module that allows you to connect two HDZero MIPI cameras to a single HDZero video transmitter and switch between them directly in flight. The camera switcher can be toggled via Betaflight, iNav, or ArduPilot, or manually without a flight controller.

Installation is straightforward – MIPI cables connect to the board and the function Camera Control 1 is assigned to the switch in the flight controller (Betaflight, iNav, or ArduPilot). No soldering is required in standard mode.

The switcher is powered directly from the VTX and allows for nearly instantaneous image switching, especially when using two cameras of the same generation. This opens up possibilities for combining, for example, day and night cameras (IR-cut / no IR-cut), front and bottom views, rear cameras for RC cars, or combinations of wide and narrow lenses. When controlled via the flight controller, independent settings for both cameras can be maintained.

The board dimensions are 26 × 26 × 2.6 mm, with a mounting hole spacing of 20 × 20 mm for easy installation into a stack. In manual mode, a 0–3.3 V GPIO input can be used and advanced jumper settings also allow for VTX-only control or chaining multiple boards for expanded multi-camera configurations.
