DeepSpace ROC4 is a small 4" drone with DJI O4 Pro digital video transmission. The drone is especially suitable for calm cruising or long-range. Thanks to its low weight, it is quiet and has a long flight time. The frame has a deadcat arm layout, with the front arms shifted more to the sides and rearward, so the propeller edges are not visible in the FPV camera image. You will especially appreciate this when recording HD footage of your flight, which the DJI O4 Pro unit offers. The camera is protected by side plates made of durable 7075 aluminum alloy. The AIO board is then protected by plastic side plates against grass and other debris. A GPS module is mounted above the FPV camera. Thanks to the GPS module, the drone supports automatic return to home, displays distance from the home point and the bearing to the home point. The USB connector is conveniently located on the top plate behind the GPS module.
Flight control is handled by the Deepspace Talos F722 AIO unit. The flight controller uses an F722 processor with an ICM42688P gyro. It is equipped with 16MB of blackbox memory and a barometer for altitude measurement. The ESCs can handle up to 40A and use BLHeli_32 firmware. Power is provided by Aether1404 3000Kv motors combined with Gemfan 4024 propellers. Video transmission is handled by the aforementioned DJI O4 Pro unit. The frame has a diagonal motor distance of 180mm and arms cut from 3,5mm-thick carbon.
Recommended batteries are 4S with 720–1100mAh capacity and an XT30 connector.
The flight controller firmware cannot be updated online; you need to upload a local firmware file, which can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website here or Betaflight 4.5.3 here.
Important notice: The DJI O4 camera uses a new generation of gyros that are more sensitive to vibrations. This may affect the proper functionality of RockSteady and Gyroflow stabilization.
