DeepSpace ROC4 is a small 4" drone with digital video transmission DJI O4 Pro. The drone is mainly suitable for calm cruise or long-range flights. Thanks to its low weight, it is quiet and has a long flight time. The frame has a deadcat arm layout, where the front arms are shifted more to the side and back, so the disturbing edges of the propellers are not visible in the FPV camera image. This is particularly appreciated when capturing HD footage of your flight, which the DJI O4 Pro unit offers. The camera is protected by side panels made of durable aluminum alloy 7075. The AIO board is then protected by plastic side panels against grass and other debris. Above the FPV camera is mounted a GPS module. Thanks to the GPS module, the drone supports automatic return to home, displays the distance from the takeoff point, and the direction to the takeoff point. The USB connector is conveniently located on the upper plate behind the GPS module.
Flight control is managed by the AIO unit Deepspace Talos F722. The flight controller uses an F722 processor with a gyro ICM42688P. It is equipped with 16MB memory for blackbox and a barometer for altitude measurement. The regulators can handle currents up to 40A and use BLHeli_32 firmware. The propulsion is provided by Aether1404 3000Kv motors combined with Gemfan 4024 propellers. The transmission of the image is handled by the aforementioned DJI O4 Pro unit. The diagonal distance between the motors is 180mm and the arms are cut from 3.5mm thick carbon.
Recommended batteries are 4S with a capacity of 720–1100mAh and an XT30 connector.
Firmware updates for the flight controller cannot be done online, you need to upload a local firmware file which can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website here or Betaflight 4.5.3 here.
