Cube Orange+ Mini Set is a combination of the Cube Orange+ flight controller and the smaller Mini Carrier Board, a compact carrier board for the Cube system that integrates main connectors and simplifies wiring in smaller unmanned aerial vehicles.
Cube Orange+ is a powerful flight controller designed for demanding UAV applications, where reliability, redundancy, and sensor accuracy are key. The design is based on a modular concept of the Cube, where the flight management unit (FMU) is physically separated from the carrier board.
At the core of the Cube Orange+ is a powerful STM32H757 processor supplemented by a separate I/O processor, which provides safe output control even during a main unit restart. The system offers triple redundancy of inertial sensors, specifically three accelerometers and gyroscopes, one magnetometer, and two MS5611 barometers. All sensors are connected via SPI, ensuring high sampling rates and minimal latency.
The unit supports 14 PWM outputs and is suitable for multirotors, aircraft, VTOL platforms, or ground robotics. Power supply for the Cube Orange+ is designed with a focus on safety and diagnostics. The unit supports power supply from the power module, servo rail, or USB, with the system automatically selecting the priority source. The operating range is 4.0–5.5 V. With the monitoring pins available, detailed logging of voltage and current events, including states of the main and backup power supplies, is possible. Flight data is stored on a microSD card, which is necessary for the full functionality of the system and flight log recording. Cube Orange+ is not waterproof and requires external moisture protection.
Cube Orange+ Mini Carrier Board is a compact carrier board for the Cube system. It is suitable for builds where space-saving, low weight, and clean installation are priorities, while maintaining the typical modularity of the Cube solution with separate FMU and I/O components.
The Mini Carrier Board uses the standard Cube interface via DF17 80pin stack connector and exposes peripherals through JST-GH 1.25 mm connectors. Available ports include GPS1 (8pin), GPS2 (6pin), TELEM1 and TELEM2 (6pin), I2C (4pin), CAN2 (4pin), and a pair of power inputs POWER1 and POWER2. An acoustic signaling connector BUZZER is also provided.
The board is rated for a power supply of 4–5.5 V with a nominal input current of 2.5 A. The board features standard RCIN and PWM outputs for controlling up to 8 motors or servos. An additional 6 PWM outputs are routed on the board.
