The AOS line of frames was developed by FPV youtuber Chris Rosser, who is best known for testing parts for drones. AOS frames are developed based on blackbox data and simulations of vibration and resonant frequencies. Each part of the frame has been optimized to shift the resonant frequencies above the frequency of the motors. This allows less vibration to go into the controller, less filtering is needed, and the PID controller values can be raised, improving flight performance and minimizing propwash.

The AOS 5.5 frame is suitable for building freestyle drones. The option of larger 5.5" propellers will be especially useful if the drone carries heavy GoPro and similar cameras. The frame can be built with both analog and digital video transmission. It comfortably accommodates the DJI O3, Caddx Vista, Walksnail Avatar and HDZero 1W. For high durability, the frame uses 6mm thick carbon fiber arms. The frame body can hold up to 3 stacks of 30.5x30.5/25.5x25.5/20x20mm mounting holes. There are cutouts in the top plate for attaching the Lipo battery with two straps. The frame arms have a unique T-shape. This shape increases their rigidity and contributes to the aforementioned shift in resonant frequencies. The ends of the arms then help to protect the engine in the event of an impact. The camera is mounted in carbon sidewalls that protect the camera. The camera is held in TPU inserts that can accommodate cameras of different sizes.
